Software Releases
We are continuously working to improve PRIMA based on the needs of our external user community and the Imaging Services group at TGS. Customers are notified when a new release is available along with instructions on how to download the software.
PRIMA 10.0 - Now Available
Release Date: March 31, 2008
TGS Imaging Services announces PRIMA V10.0 is now available for download and installation by all PRIMA licensees, current on annual maintenance. This newest commercial version will incorporate enhancements to existing interpretive tools, along with new processing options. Software is available in various linux and solaris o/s versions.
Current PRIMA clients will receive Release notes, along with download and install instructions via email. Optionally, a disk may be provided upon request to PRIMA Support by calling 713-576-3333 or via email at

PRIMA 9.0 - Release Date: March 26, 2007
TGS has released PRIMA™ 9.0, the latest current version of its seismic data pre-stack interpretation and analysis software. PRIMA’s core modules for integrated seismic processing, multi-volume AVO analysis and advanced time and depth imaging continue to be developed based on the needs of TGS’ Imaging Services group and the external PRIMA user community.
This latest release incorporates a significant number of new features that enhance its versatility and efficiency while adding advanced processing algorithms which allow better imaging results and data viewing capabilities:
- PRIMAViz™, a new 3D Viewer for Time and Depth domains, allows the geophysicist to quickly review and validate results of processing and interpretation in a seamless environment
- With continued growth of 3D Depth Imaging, AVO Analysis and Display is now available using Depth Gathers
- Greater Functionality in “Project2D” project building and editing to handle the substantial 2D databases used in frontier exploration
