Digitizing Services

A2D Technologies offers custom and high volume digitizing services with the largest digitizing capacity and one of the most experienced digitizing teams in the industry. The company can tailor a large or small digitizing project to meet your schedule and budget.

A2D can process 120 million curve feet per month. All digitizing is performed under rigorous, proprietary quality control procedures. A2D will deliver accurate digital well log data in standard LAS or your preferred format.

Experienced professionals at A2D digitize well logs by using automatic vectorizing and manual digitizing software which includes header information and editing of sonic curves through washouts, cycle skips and noises. Various formats are available, including LAS and LIS. Delivery can be via internet, FTP, CD-Rom, DVD, Jazz, Zip, tape, diskette and others.  

Data Conversion

A2D will convert files to other formats including, but not limited to: DLIS, LIS, LAS, DXF and TIFF. We can also transfer data to another medium or format such as 4mm, 8mm, CD-Rom, Zip, Jazz and DVD to meet your specific needs.  

Scanning

A2D can scan large-scale documents such as well logs, maps, and seismic sections up to 36" wide with no length limitations. These images can be saved as color, black and white or grayscale.  

Indexing & Verification

A2D uses proprietary software to link well information to the accurate Well Header. We continuously modify and upgrade our proprietary software to take advantage of sound technological developments. The company provides customers with a robust search capability that allows them to locate data in LOG-LINE Plus!® even if their information differs slightly.

A2D puts data through a stringent process to ensure the accuracy of Well Location identification. We work in conjunction with many of the major oil and gas companies and regulatory agencies to standardize location and other information to minimize errors.  

International Logs

A2D's international log experience includes complex and problematic logs from Russia, China, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. We carefully work with the client to define project specifications and provide curve scale and wrap identification. We use specialized digitizing techniques, compose data, and create Western-style plots.  

Workstation-Ready Data Enhancing

• A2D provides enhanced, Workstation-ready (WSR) well log data to expedite your workstation processes, resulting in correct curves that automatically pop up into a template for every well being identified.
• WSR data sets begin with a thorough research process involving the quality control of all digital data against hard copy logs to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Petrophysical processing includes steps such as SP baseline correction, depth adjustment of multiple logs, compositing runs, porosity conversions and curve calculations.
• WSR data sets with standard curve mnemonics and units enable batch loading, processing and interpretation; therefore, result in cleaner, proprietary and application databases.
• WSR data sets will decrease application support costs and project cycle time, as well as increase productivity resulting in measurable time and dollar savings.
• Using basic well log images, log remarks, and header information, our log analysts produce a hybrid set of digital well log traces.
• Standards include SP shifts, offsets, and drift removal. Data in casing and below FR is removed according to the tool diagram. All tools, including LWD, are depth-adjusted to Induction Log. Similar traces from different tools are merged to create top-to-bottom data coverage. Naming conventions are standardized and easy to use. Curves are calculated, and edited sonics are available.
