F/K pre-stack interpolation

A robust ProMAX algorithm (originally developed by ARCO) can be used in the receiver domain to reduce the shot interval by a factor of 2 or 3.

 

F/X post-stack interpolation

Spatial predictive deconvolution can be used to reduce the trace spacing by a factor of two. Unaliased low frequency energy is used to predict potentially aliased high frequency components.
