TGS-NOPEC is renewing it's commitment to the Mississippi Canyon Area of the Gulf of Mexico with the 3D Mississippi Canyon Revival project.
This 3D survey was originally acquired in 1999-2000 with 8,000-meter streamer offsets. It covers over 627 OCS blocks and is also one of the largest regional 3-D seismic programs ever recorded in North America.
This reprocessing project incorporates the latest algorithms for 3-D Kirchoff pre-stack time migration and advanced multiple suppression techniques. The eMC3D survey covers areas of Mississippi Canyon, Desoto Canyon, and Lloyd Ridge and is ready for delivery. The eMC3D project is a 285 block expansion of the existing 3D coverage and was acquired in 2003 with a 25 meter cross line and 8000 meter offsets.
The combination of Mississippi Canyon Revival and eMC3D creates a regional program that exceeds 900 OCS blocks and includes the most recent migration algorithms available to the industry.
