The Deep Shelf Interpretation Project is a regional, evergreen interpretation project covering 3500 OCS Blocks of the Louisiana Shelf, Flex Trend and into the Deep Water protraction areas.
The Project includes interpretation of approximately 40,000 miles of long offset seismic data integrated with logs from over 550 deep wells, 194 with high-resolution biostratigraphic control. The DeepShelf Interpretation covers an area of approximately 36,000 square miles.
Five senior geoscientists with Subsurface Consultants (SCA) worked over 6 man years creating 15 regional structure maps, 14 regional isochron maps and 25 field analogue reports.
This project will provide a framework for the regional interpretation of the deep gas trend in the Gulf of Mexico. TGS will maintain the fidelity of this interpretation by keeping the project evergreen. Every quarter newly released wells and other updates will be incorporated into the project and made available to participants.
This regional project is intended to provide explorationists with:
- A regional top-to-bottom understanding of the GOM Hydrocarbon Basin
- An initial foundation for prospect development in upcoming lease sales
- Structure maps tied to sequence boundaries to guide your interpretation
- Interpretation pre-loaded in LGC, GeoFrame or SMT project
