TGS-NOPEC has over 26,000km of modern 2D data seismic in the Makassar Straits which borders the Mahakam Delta, one of Indonesia's most prolific hydrocarbon producing areas. The data, which extends across the Straits from Kalimantan to the West Sulawesi Fold Belt, have enabled a more coherent interpretation to be constructed, revealing a number of new exploration opportunities. The data has shown many exciting structures, often associated with amplitude anomalies.
