Shift Lead Assistant


SUMMARY:


TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company of Houston, Texas, an internationally recognized seismic acquisition, processing, and interpretation company, has two full-time positions open for a 2nd & 3rd Shift Lead Assistant.

Location: 2345 Atascocita, Humble, TX

The Shift Lead Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the entire HWL department runs smoothly and efficiently. This includes coordinating priorities, scheduling resources and monitoring performance. Shift Lead Assistants will perform higher level duties as assigned by the department manager and or as priorities dictate. Some clerical or administrative duties will be included.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work in conjunction with all HWL Shift Leads and Overseas Coordinators to ensure all priorities and deadlines are met
  • Develop a working knowledge of all TGS software to help in troubleshooting problem jobs and workflow glitches
  • Ensure clear and concise communications with peers, coordinators, and managers concerning activities and progress on your shift
  • Assign work to team members per the daily Priorities
  • Ensure that all client fixes are done in a timely manner
  • Ability to help in all areas of HWL to ensure deadlines are met
  • May work on weekends and/or various shifts per your Department Manager
  • Ensures strict confidentiality of client records
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a high school diploma and have taken some college courses
  • Knowledge of Access and Excel is preferred

JOB PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

  • Ability to motivate staff to exceed goals and objectives
  • Previous supervisory/management background is a must
  • Project management skills are very desirable
  • Skill set should include Microsoft office with a good foundation in Access
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information
  • Ability to clearly understand the QC/OP process and all associated software
  • Excellent organizational skills
