SUMMARY:
TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company in Houston, TX seeks a Senior Software Developer to develop, maintain, and support software for suite of enterprise order management applications, tools, and databases.
Location: 2500 CityWest Blvd., Houston, TX
JOB DUTIES:
- Develop, maintain, and support software for suite of enterprise order management applications, tools, and databases
- Utilize knowledge of software development and database design methodologies and apply these principals to solve real world business problems
- Develop enterprise applications using C#, ASP.NET and SQL Server in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Develop complex data intensive software applications
- Utilize extensive knowledge of geophysical and geological principles as well as seismic data management
- Utilize Geographic Information System (GIS) skills and experience with ESRI software with a strong proficiency in ArcGiS, ArcSDE and ArcObjects development
- Conduct formal and informal testing of applications to ensure software quality. Provide user support for day-to-day operations of these applications
- Assist in data maintenance tasks to the upkeep of the company's extensive seismic data library
- Gather, document, and analyze user requirements for software enhancements and updates
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Physics
- Two (2) years of in-job experience with focus on geospatial software solutions
