TGS Imaging, a division of TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company, is seeking Seismic Imaging Geophysicists with some experience in 2-D or 3-D prestack time and/or depth imaging. We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our successful team in Houston.

 

Job Description

Seismic Imaging Geophysicists will be responsible for working on all phases of 2-D or 3-D time or depth processing projects with minimal supervision.  

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in geophysics, geology, physics or math preferred, but will consider other degrees.
• 2 - 5 years “hands-on” experience processing 2-D or 3-D marine time or depth projects.
• Good grasp of geophysical and geological principles.  Knowledge of salt tectonics in the Gulf of Mexico is a plus.
• Experience with UNIX and/or Linux based software packages and workstations.

Desired Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and communication skills.  Good command of the English language is a must.
• Willingness to work on challenging projects.  
• Enjoys working in a team environment but can work independently.
• Excellent problem solving and multi-tasking skills.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office.
