TGS-NOPEC is a global provider of multi-client geoscience data and integrated services to the oil and gas industry. Aceca Ltd., the exploration consultancy division of TGS-NOPEC is currently seeking an experienced Sedimentologist/Senior Geologist.
The successful candidate will be required to provide fully integrated sedimentological interpretation to multidisciplinary exploration and petroleum asset teams of geologists, stratigraphers, basin modelers, petrophysicists and geophysicists.
He/she will also be required to work on subsurface reservoir geology projects as well as contributing to the Multiclient Products Group where the interpretation will form an integral part of Aceca Ltd. Facies Map Browser (FMB) projects throughout NW Europe and internationally.
Successful candidates will:
- Be educated to MSc / PhD level in Geology or Petroleum Geology.
- Be a talented sedimentologist; experienced in the use of all core, petrophysical and wireline data types as well as possessing a working knowledge of the principles of sequence stratigraphy.
- Have a proven ability to work effectively in teams in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Prior work experience within exploration and / or reservoir geology.
- Have excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
