TGS-NOPEC is a global provider of multi-client geoscience data and integrated services to the oil and gas industry. Aceca Ltd., the exploration consultancy division of TGS-NOPEC is currently seeking a number of graduates to join the company in a Junior Geologist capacity.
The successful candidates will initially become an active part of our Multi Client Products Group. He/she will be mainly working on full geological interpretation of wireline data within multidisciplinary teams of stratigraphers, sedimentologists, petrophysicists and geophysicists.
This interpretation will form a key part of Aceca Ltd. Facies Map Browser (FMB) projects throughout NW Europe and internationally.
The role involves many different tasks and provides a great deal of scope to develop geological / geophysical and other specialist skills, with the further opportunity to work on a wide variety of commissioned exploration-focused projects:
Successful candidates will:
- Be educated to BSc / MSc level in Geology or Petroleum Geology.
- Have a working knowledge of petrophysical wireline data types, sedimentology and the principles of sequence stratigraphy.
- Have a proven ability to work effectively in teams in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Prior experience with exploration based projects advantageous.
- Have excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
